Obama Blames Lazy America

Last week President Obama was in Honalulu and spoke at an APEC event at which he said America has been kind of lazy these past couple decades. He claimed America has just expected people to come here and do business and just didn't work very hard to attract that business. Now if your indegestian just got worse and your reaching for the Tums, I can understand. Let's review from whom this criticism comes.

Here is the quote:

“We’ve been a little bit lazy over the last couple of decades. We’ve kind of taken for granted — ‘Well, people would want to come here’ — and we aren’t out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new businesses into America."

As of last July, Obama has played 75 rounds of golf (note 24 for Bush if you are comparing). He has at least twice vacationed at a lavish 28 acre compound in Martha's vineyard and let's not foget the extravagant vacation in Hawaii and Michelle's escapades abroad that cost the taxpayer almost half a million dollars. Everyone deserves a vacation at some point, even the president, criticisms on his outlandish choices aside, and even Obama deserves a birdie and a bogey but how about giving the people a budget? He has yet to offer a detailed proposal on that or the debt ceiling which just hit 15 trillion. If you add on to Obama's schedule the weekly Wednesday Parties with celebrity guests then you could probably say, Obama is working hard at making the most of his time in the White House. Is he working hard a solving America's problems? The answer to that would have to be not hard enough because they are getting worse, or (more accurately in my humble opinion) yes, he is working hard at causing them.

Would it be accurate to call the president lazy? This writer does not think he is lazy just an epic failure. His policies continue to benefit no one but his political friends and donors. While many Americans have given up their vacations for staying at home and many businesses are wondering what tomorrow's tax burden will be. President Obama jets from fundraiser to fundraiser, raking in $35 thousand a plate.

You will never hear the president call the Occupy Wall Street crowd lazy. Isn't that strange? They are doing what he did in Chicago years ago. But hey, he didn't have his telepromptor and as usual with out the TOTOS, Obama always reveals a little of who he really is. Hopefully, America is seeing it.

American businesses are working overtime to keep this country afloat while liberals such as the president. are undermining all that has made America great, from our free market priciples to our freedom to choose to buy health care insurance...or not!  When will people realize that the principles that make up the liberal Democrat Party never produce a better America? The reason is simple. It is the principles that make up our country's foundation that, today, embody the conservative wing of the GOP and that are articulated by the Tea Party Movement that made this country the beacon on a hill that it is, the land to which others strive to come.  Liberalism or Progressivism, whatever name it has today, will never produce that result. This is why history is revised in the public school system. A people who will not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
